Today (Sunday) was a travel day.

The goal was to make it from Doolin to Sligo.

We took an indirect route through Connemara, though.

It was absolutely stunning despite the fog and rain.

Most definitely worth the extra time/driving.

We made it into Sligo around dinnertime (after driving all day – and fearing hurricane Katia, which we were being warned about – and listening to local news/talk radio when we could pick it up, which was very interesting) and ate more pub grub before walking back to our B&B and getting in bed (where I’ve been catching up here).

We needed a low-key day.

Up next? Northern Ireland.
