I’ve had a couple of stress dreams lately. Highly unusual for me.

In one, I had forgotten to take a Calculus class that was apparently required by the (COMPLETELY unrelated to Calculus) degree I’m working on. I was crying and freaking out and telling Jon that there was no way I’d ever be able to do it and that it was all over. No degree. All this time wasted.

Pretty realistic response, actually.

I also woke up at 3 last night and was awake for 20 minutes or so. Sounds like something that shouldn’t be a big deal, but it is. I don’t have sleep issues AT ALL. I sleep 8-9 hours every single night with zero difficulty. A middle-of-the-night waking that results in an inability to shut my brain off for even 20 minutes is noteworthy.

Something is tripping some wiring and increasing stress/anxiety. It’s the final week of my semester. Maybe I shouldn’t be surprised?

I started week 4 of C25K today and almost died.

Brisk five-minute warmup walk, then:

* Jog 3 minutes
* Walk 90 seconds
* Jog 5 minutes
* Walk 2-1/2 minutes
* Jog 3 minutes
* Walk 90 seconds
* Jog 5 minutes

I’m feeling progress despite the fact that it sucked and my legs felt jellyish during the last few minutes. I easily jogged the 3 minute portions, which would have been very hard a couple of weeks ago. The 5 minute portions, though? I didn’t make it through the last one.

I don’t totally know how to decipher the information that the Nike+ thing gives me and I’m too lazy to spend much time researching to figure it out. I don’t know what the 0’s mean when they show up as are on today’s info.

I didn’t plan well, so we didn’t end up at home at the end of the C25K portion – so we walked. Slowly.

It was windy and freezing.

I can’t envision myself EVER running non-stop for 30 minutes, but I’m feeling like I can’t quit until I at least try.

Jon’s still here – doing his best to completely gross me out.

He’s feeding me well, of course.

This one (below) takes the cake.

It’s a pork chop (pesto on top) + cauliflower stuffing (I guess? Not sure what it’s called.) (I’m sure he found it here.)

I am not a fan of substituting cauliflower as mashed potatoes or pizza crusts, etc. for texture + principle issues – almost didn’t even try this.

O.M.G., though. Very good. I wouldn’t have known it was cauliflower if he hadn’t told me.
