Jon’s home! And he made breakfast this morning!

Blueberry pancakes (made with almond flour) + bacon.

I’m a dipper, not a pourer.

I made a simple/light lunch since I’d heard about the Arts, Beats & Eats festival (in Royal Oak) on the news and knew we’d likely go. And eat a bunch of junk, of course.

Bad mistake – I should have added more protein to the lunch. I was starving by the time we were in the car on the way to the festival – and looking at an hour of driving. We needed to get cash, so we needed to buy something. Our standard purchase for the rare occasion we need cash? A pack of gum.

I can’t really say that I was CRAVING processed cheese flavored filling, but I somehow ended up eating the whole bag – with a little bit of Jon’s help.

Those things made my stomach hurt, so I wasn’t overly hungry for dinner – we just split two small wraps (a chicken shwarma & a falafel).

Sometime later, though, we HAD to have this:

The festival was fun – the weather has been GORGEOUS all day today. I’m tired, though. It’s been a long week. I’m glad it’s over, glad Jon’s home, glad I have a long weekend ahead of me, and glad a normal routine starts next week.

Up tomorrow, a bike ride.
