Thanks! He is definitely a sweet boy.

I don't use a recipe for the smoothies because I'm too lazy. I just throw handfuls of everything in and blend. Has worked out well so far since it's quick & easy to prepare and take with me. The spinach really isn't so bad - I promise! I truthfully have no idea it's in there except on days that I'm really heavy-handed with it (meaning a blender stuffed full or something).

Thanks! I definitely think it's the restaurants + some smaller portions. Apparently makes a BIG difference.

The green smoothies look really gross, but I swear they're good! I like spinach, so I wouldn't mind it - but I can't taste it at all. They aren't sugary sweet, of course, but they're very good. My mom had an issue because of the appearance, too, but she wound up really liking it once she tried it.

I have a friend that has lost close to 100 lbs. and she is continuing to want to lose more weight. Most of her friends are encouraging her to stop before she becomes too thin. She is concerned that her weight will increase and her motivation will decrease if she lets up. I can now understand when you say that you are not done...that you will know when. I can respect that this is the way my friend also feels about her weight loss.

I would love to find a smoothie recipe for the a.m. as I am out the door by 6 a.m. and return most nights from teaching around 6 p.m. The spinach thought does tend to make it less appealing but love the fruits that you add!

Always enjoy your posts...and pictures of your sweet doggie!

What an interesting post. I was wondering if you were losing so much because of mostly eliminating the restaurant meals--I know from our best efforts to trim the restaurant meals how packed with calories they are and how it's so easy to take in more calories than we mean to. Could it be that you've lost a little muscle (which weighs a lot) since you're not exercising as hard? (Also, I find most of your food choices appealing, but I'd have a hard time with that greenish spinach smoothie/juice thing. Yikes.)

I suppose I'd gauge how much weight was enough by what size I was wearing, partly. As in, if I were a 6-8, that would seem ok, but if I sank to a 0-2-4, I might think I'd gone too far, if that makes sense. Also, I don't think Jon would mislead you. But it's an interesting thought, since when I look at myself in the mirror, I don't REALLY know how I look, if you know what I mean.

Well done! Outstanding! Woo-hoo!

One hundred pounds is quite the milestone, and you should be proud, not just of having accomplished it, but the *way* you got here.
